Hello,

Welcome
to the eleventh Gay Comics List newsletter.
Sorry for
the very late newsletter. I just couldn't find the time to do it.
The good thing is that you have six new reviews, including two erotic
comics, a 256-page graphic novel, love among the iron-pumpers, and a web
strip that finally gets a collection.
The big
upcoming gay comics event should be the publication of Juicy
Mother, a glbt collection of short stories by various artists.
I'll definitely write more about it when I've read it.
In the news,
we have new
prints by the hugely talented Maurice Vellekoop, the long-awaited
return of Ivan Velez's Tales
of the Closet, the death
of gay erotic artist Sean and an exhibition
of gay artists which includes Chelsea Boys co-creators Glen
Hanson.
I've written updates for three series, with Liberty
from Hell #4, Cavalcade
of Boys #9 and Love
#3, as well as a shortish review of the gay-inclusive Locas
(Jaime Hernandez's long-running series), an article about French
gay BD (with two more to follow as soon as I can), something about
the rather queer collection Clive
Barker's Tapping the Vein, and a few lines about the excellent
Out/Lines and Lust Unearthed (two
books showing pre-Stonewall gay art). I also wanted to point out that
I've written another
story for the Young Bottoms in Love anthology.
That's all from me this time.
Happy Valentine's
day for those of you who celebrate it.
Remember that after all, it's only the Christian version of a very old
Roman celebration... and that I think we don't have to give in to the
general mushiness to show our partners-boy/girlfriend-whatever-you- call-that-
important-person our love. Yeah, I'm a hopeless romantic.
