June 19, 2010: I've launched a new version of this website as a Wordpress blog. This version won't be updated anymore.
If you don't see the images of a review, it means that I've transferred it to the new site.

Hello, everybody.

December 27, 2008.

Welcome to the twentieth Gay Comics List newsletter.

Here's my contribution to the spirit of the holidays: lots of gay-themed comics for your to read about.
As usual, the new books are very varied: Tim Fish offers his new graphic novel (a kind-of sequel to hisCavalcade of Boys), Robert Kirby and David Kelly have edited another volume of their excellent Boy Trouble anthology (this time with only new content), Steve MacIsaac starts a new long-form story in his Shirtlifter comic, Maurice Vellekoop has a new collection of erotic art, Jörg Meyer-Bothling's Micki is back with a second volume of highly-sexed hijinks, Class Comics offers two more porn comics with great art, and new artists emerge, with Matt Runkle and Rick Worley's autobio comics. We've also got new issues of Frater Mine, So Super Duper and Incubus. A very unexpected and gay-inclusive project is The Virgin Project, where people talk about their first time, and another surprise is the bitter-sweet gay story from the latest Drawn & Quarterly Showcase by a Swedish artist. And the prize for the most unusual idea goes to Massimo Fenati's Gus & Waldo series, where two gay penguins fall in love. No, really.
I must say the biggest news for me has been the publication of an art book dedicated to J.C. Leyendecker, which I'd announced in the previous newsletter. It was worth the wait.

I've also added an email-based subscription service which you can use to receive a message every time I add something on the site. See here. This way, you won't have to wait six months to hear from me. If enough people use it, I might discontinue this newsletter.
I'll finish this by wishing all of you Happy Holidays. I'll see you next year.
