Review: So Super Duper #7

Artist(s): Brian Andersen.

Could things get even more complicated for our boy Psyche? One foot out of the closet, two feet back in, powers fluctuating from merely annoying to scary, a girlfriend who thinks (or wants to think) he loves her… Brian Andersen obviously enjoys putting his character through the wringer and he keeps doing it with this issue. The girls from Psyche’s team the Amazin’Naughts have decided to go to the hairdresser, and Psyche’s “girlfriend” has gotten the job. But a well-known villain isn’t far behind…
Another back-up is presented here, by David Arthur Stanley and Peter Di Maso, concerning the superhero Briar, a Batman-kind character part of the Amazin’Naughts, who’s obsessed about not showing his face. It’s a cute little story, with art once more on the realistic side.
You can buy So Super Duper #7 from the Indy Planet site or Prism Comics, and the author’s site is here (with previews of the issues).
