Here are the micro-reviews I’ve posted on Bluesky for the period (various news and links have also been posted):
Dash: The Mysterious Case of Zita Makara, by Dave Ebersole, Delia Gable and Vinnie Roco, is a story set in 1940 where a gay detective investigates weird deaths. It blends pulp villains and real-life homophobia. The two main artists offer engaging and compatible styles.

These cartoons were collected in Now For My Next Trick. Some of that humor has somewhat aged, but some is still very funny.
The art is simple but effective, with good facial expressions.

Virgil, by Steve Orlando and J. D. Faith. A closeted cop goes on a rampage to find his kidnapped boyfriend. Set in violently homophobic Jamaica, this "queersploitation" story hits hard. Strong, dynamic art and vibrant colors.

Drawing On The Gay Experience is the first collection of Donelan's cartoons. Clones, twinks, lesbians, drag queens, leather daddies and other types are lampooned, in a way that makes the readers feel like they're laughing with the characters, not at them.

Donelan's Back is the second and last collection of Donelan's work from The Advocate. More humor featuring members of the diverse LGBT community.
I love the artist's round, elastic style, which goes really well with his gentle cartoons.
