A new edition of Stuck Rubber Baby

A new edition of Stuck Rubber Baby, Howard Cruse’s masterpiece, has been published by DC Comics. Under a new cover drawn especially by the author, you’ll find a new introduction by Fun Home‘s Alison Bechdel. When it was published back in 1995, Stuck Rubber Baby didn’t have a very welcoming atmosphere, since there were few graphic novels of its kind—by which I mean the way it engages with the real world. Nowadays, you have dozens of such graphic novels, and it seems it is the hope of the publisher (and the author) that it will find a new readership. It certainly deserves to.
