Among the latest comics from Class Comics comes Deimos #1, the first issue of a series showcasing one of Fillion's already existing characters, this time in collaboration with artist Logan. I'm not familiar with him, but it seems Deimos is a unique player in the eternal game between Heaven and Hell, a reformed demon who's decided to join the side of the angels. In this issue, available from the publisher (with excerpts), Deimos has to fight back against a horde of his former human worshippers, who resent his being a turncoat who even received a guardian angel, whom they've kidnapped. Violence and sex follow, drawn in Logan's wonderful dark style, full of gothic churches and beefy, hairy guys (even Deimos looks hairier than when drawn by Fillion). Think Hellboy plus giant cocks. So, even though I didn't catch everything the story had to offer, since I haven't read Deimos' previous appareances, I thought this comic had a powerful atmosphere, with Fillion's entertaining story providing Logan with another opportunity to show readers that he's a very good storyteller.
