Robert Triptow's satire of gay weddings
In the last issue of Roberta Gregory's excellent series Naughty Bits, Robert Triptow writes and draws a hilarious satire of a gay wedding in San Francisco. Here's my review.

Prism Comics guide and forum
Prism Comics, the organization dedicated to promoting LGBT creators and works, has published its new annual guide, a 128-page pocket-sized and squarebound magazine. Under a tender and kitschy cover by Joe Phillips, you'll find a year-in-review article (mostly) centered on mainstream queer-inclusive comics, interviews of Phil Jimenez, Alison Bechdel, Andersen Gabrych and José Villarrubia (who also brings the back-cover), as well as 50 pages of comics by Tim Fish (a very good and all-new Cavalcade of Boys story), Leanne Franson, Patrick Fillion, Justin Hall, Kris Dresen, Lynx Delirium, Eric Shanower, Donna Barr, Gina Kamentsky, Matt Fagan and Robert Kirby. Some are all-new, some are from online strips, and some are previews of upcoming comics, but the variety of style and stories is impressive. The rest of the book is a directory of queer comics creators (and a few queer-friendly straight ones), as well as a partial list of online queer strips and various websites. This year's guide is a very attractive effort by the Prism team, and I wonder how they'll manage to top it next year. But I trust them.
Also of interest is the Prism Comics site, where you can buy the guide and which has recently been completely redesigned, making it more user-friendly. And they've opened a forum, which I hope will become a rallying place for the lovers of queer-themed comics, including but also beyond the superhero genre.

Max & Sven
Max & Sven, Tom Bouden's story of the friendship between two young guys, one gay and one straight, will be published in a month or two. My review is already online, just to make you feel eager to read the book.
